Eligible candidates for all positions at Abilities Services, Inc. must hold a high school diploma or GED, a valid drivers license with current car insurance, and must pass a criminal history check and drug screen.  Within 90 days, employees are required to pass certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention, First Aid, CPR and Med Core classes.

Direct Care - Group Home

Rossville

Direct Care Staff work with developmentally disabled adults in a group home setting. Position involves assisting with feeding/bathing, community outings, transportation, socialization, and general daily living skills.  Looking for caring people with good written documentation and verbal communication skills.  Must have open availability as days, hours and shifts vary. Position might include a 12 hour overnight position.

 

Personal Assistant - Community Living

Crawfordsville

Frankfort

Lafayette

The Personal Assistant position works with developmentally disabled adults and those with similar disadvantages who live independently, with the goal to help individual acquire, retain, and/or improve skills that directly affect the ability to reside as independently as possible.  Position involves assisting with community outings, money management, transportation, socialization, and general daily living skills.  Looking for caring people with good written documentation and verbal communication skills.  Must have open availability as days and hours vary.
